MANY CONGRATULATIONS to Megan Long and the Stephen Perse Foundation, Cambridge, who are the winners of the 2013 What on Earth? Science & Engineering National Non-Fiction Day Timeline Competition. Almost 100 schools and individuals entered the inaugural contest to make a timeline – of their own design  - which features 20 of the most amazing inventions from the Stone Ages to the present day (and beyond!).

After much deliberation the judges have finally reached their decision and have also awarded a number of high recommendations. Full details of the results can be found here.

Megan wins a £500 cash prize and the Stephen Perse Foundation, Cambridge, an author visit and What on Earth? resources worth £1,000.

Congratulations again and thanks to everyone who entered!

The National Science Timeline Competition was run in association with the Federation of Children’s Books Groups, to co-incide with the celebration of National Non-Fiction Day on November 7th
